Salon d’honneur of the Grand Palais, Paris
In 2013, for their first monumental mapping, Antoine+Manuel composed an animated fresco using the archives of the House of Cartier, precious materials and their own drawings. Eight successive scenes transform the architectural space into moving tableaux. The frescoes, usually frozen, slowly and magically come to life. Visitors concentrating on the jewels can rest their gaze at will on the vaults of the Grand Palais, while visualising another interpretation of the exhibition’s themes.

En 2013, pour leur premier mapping monumental, Antoine+Manuel composent une fresque animée à partir des archives de la maison Cartier, de matières précieuses et de leurs dessins. Huit scènes s’enchaînent, l’espace architectural se métamorphose en tableaux mouvants. Les fresques, habituellement figées, prennent lentement et magiquement vie. Le visiteur concentré sur les bijoux repose à volonté son regard sur les voûtes du Grand Palais, tout en visualisant une autre interprétation des thématiques de l’exposition.
