Antoine+Manuel Compilation est la somme de plus de 10 ans de création. Nous y montrons une sélection large de nos projets réalisés : typographies, images, objets, installations et meubles ainsi que des dessins, études préliminaires, projets non réalisés, inspirations. Nous avons fouillé nos tiroirs, plongé dans nos disques durs pour retrouver des images parfois très récentes, d'autres datant de nos débuts. Nous avons souhaité partager notre univers intime et notre processus créatif.
Un grand nombre des images présentés ont été faites spécialement pour ce livre, en particulier les invitations de défilés pour Christian Lacroix, rares et éphémères. Nous montrons aussi pour la première fois des études typographiques, des œuvres produites pour l'exposition au musée des Arts décoratifs, des dessins issus de nos carnets.

Christian Lacroix, Emmanuelle Huynh, Daniel Larrieu, Jean-Marc Grangier donnent leur point de vue sur notre travail. Emmanuel Bérard, collectionneur et critique, évoque avec humour l’ostracisme qui nous a touché à nos débuts. Amélie Gastaut, conservateur au musée des Arts décoratifs, donne son interprétation de nos sources et de la position du graphiste par rapport à l'artiste.

ENGLISH

Antoine+Manuel Compilation is the sum of more than 10 years of creation. With 220 full-page visuals, we gave a special place to the image: typography, pictures, objects, installations and furniture, as well as drawings, preliminary studies, not accomplished projects, inspirations. We searched throught our drawers, dived into our hard drives to find pictures sometimes very recent, others from our beginning.
We wished to share our private world and our process of creation. A big part of the images were made and taken especially for the book, in particularly the invitation for the Christian Lacroix shows, rare and ephemeral. We also present for the first time typography studies, pieces designed for the exhibition at the Musée des Arts décoratifs and drawing from our sketchbooks.

Christian Lacroix, Emmanuelle Huynh, Daniel Larrieu, Jean-Marc Grangier
give their point of view on our work. Amélie Gastaut, curator of the musée des Arts décoratifs, give her interpretation on our inspirations and the position of graphic designer compared to the artist. Emmanuel Berard, Art collector and critic, refers with humour the ostracism that touch our debut.

It is so far the most complete book on our work and the only one available for sale.
